The Minister for Work and Pensions, Chris Grayling MP, recently returned to Liverpool to meet with members of Conservative Future. Chris, who has been a supporter of Liverpool CF for several years, spoke of his delight at the continuing success of the group, and highlighted its importance in the ongoing revival of the Conservative Party in Liverpool and Merseyside. The Minister then went on to mingle one-to-one with members over a few drinks before returning to London.
Since its formation in 2008, Liverpool Conservative Future has played an increasingly prominent role in the local party. Around half of the candidates in the annual local elections are under 30, and young activists make up a large proportion of the teams campaigning for Liverpool’s local communities. Anyone interested in getting involved should contact Liverpool CF at liverpoolconservativefuture@gmail.com New Members are welcomed all year round.
