The City of Liverpool Conservatives held a Special General Meeting, at Olive Bank Social Club in Wavertree, to officially adopt the new constituency boundaries for the five Liverpool constituencies that make up the Federation. These are the constituency boundaries which were designed by the Boundary Commission and will be used at the next general election.
Due to these changes, we were sad to lose members from Halewood, who will now join the Widnes & Halewood Constituency Association, but were happy to welcome new members from part of the Molyneux Ward in Sefton, and members from Page Moss and Swanside wards in Knowsley.
In a separate matter of business, we also adopted the Knowsley Constituency as part of the Federation, welcoming all of their members to the City of Liverpool Conservatives’ fold.
The meeting was followed by a members’ social event, a hot supper buffet and the ever-popular, if slightly competitive, general knowledge quiz. On a very warm summer evening, members also enjoyed time in the garden in good company, conversation and healthy, friendly debate.
We look forward to more social gatherings and meeting and welcoming all of our newly adopted members, in due course.
