At the final, full lunch of the season, the Merseyside Conservative Ladies Luncheon Club were delighted to welcome Alison Rodwell as their guest speaker.
Alison is the President of the North West Conservative Women’s Organisation (CWO), having just completed her 3-year tenure as Chairman of the same. She is also a member of Ellesmere Port and Neston Conservatives.
Alison trained as a scientist and then as an accountant and entertained all in attendance with her story from school, through higher education, into work and her desire to see more people enter the innovative careers that we need to progress the country and economy.
She is a member of the Conservative Environment Network and answered questions from the floor ranging from her opinions on our current level of national investment in science compared with other countries, to local elections and party policy on the economy.
