Liverpool Conservatives joined their colleagues from across Merseyside, Cheshire and Lancashire at an event that welcomed the Member of Parliament for Ashfield and current Deputy Chairman of the Conservative Party, Lee Anderson MP and hosted by Wirral South Conservatives at Thornton Hall. Lee had spent a long and busy day in various north west constituencies, showing his support for fellow MPs and Councillors, along with the improvements and projects happening because of the government's Levelling-up agenda.
A very enjoyable evening on a very warm May night, Lee told his story as a rise from a coal miner and a single father to two boys and Labour Councillor to his defection to the Conservative Party and his success in being elected in 2019. He spoke of his support for the Prime Minister, the challenges ahead of the next general election and answered many questions from the floor.
The night was enjoyed by all, with one of our team, whom again shall remain nameless, winning the raffle for the second time in a week, showing we Liverpool Conservatives can certainly be winners!
