Dear Resident,
I made Liverpool my home in 2011. Sefton Park is close to my heart. I’ve danced tango at the Unitarian Church on Ullet Road, strolled through the Park admiring the daffodils and laughed with friends on Lark Lane.
Like you, I care deeply about our great City and I believe we deserve better.
Liverpool City Council was placed in special measures in 2021 after a damning Government inspection. Commissioners were appointed by then-Conservative Secretary of State Robert Jenrick. The Council only exited those measures last year.
Yet serious problems remain. In 2024, the Office for Local Government ranked Liverpool second-to-last for waste services and among the worst performing councils in the UK.
With Labour dominating the Council and the Greens pushing them ever further left, there is a real risk of groupthink. We need strong, local opposition—not more of the same.
Nationally, under Kemi Badenoch’s leadership, Conservatives have forced Labour to protect Winter Fuel Payments and launch a national inquiry into the Child Rape Gangs.
I'm asking for your vote to bring that same accountability to our City.
Your vote matters. Vote Conservative on Thursday 17 July!
Yours sincerely,
Marc d'Abbadie
The Conservative Party Candidate for Sefton Park Ward
