Jade Marsden for Metro Mayor
Bob Teesdale for PCC
Katie Burgess for Mayor of Liverpool

Your postal vote is about to arrive. So the future of Liverpool comes down to you.

In just a few days, people across Liverpool will vote for their Liverpool City Region Metro Mayor, Merseyside Police and Crime Commissioner, Liverpool City Mayor and local councillors.

This means you’ve got a huge role to play. From parks to buses, bins to roads, housing to social care, skills and training to policing, our elected officials look after the things that matter in our day-to-day lives.

The party in charge matters. Right now, the Labour Party are letting us down. We deserve better.

That’s why we are contacting you to let you know about our Metro Mayor, Police and Commissioner and City Mayor candidates’ plans for Liverpool and ask you to use your postal to support them.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Jade Marsden

Candidate for Metro Mayor of the Liverpool City Region

I’m Jade Marsden and I am the Conservative Candidate to be the Liverpool City Regional Metro Mayor. I’ve lived in Liverpool my whole life and love my home. That’s why I’m standing. For far too long our votes have been taken for granted and abused. I want to change that. I want to give the voters as much transparency as possible whilst giving people the opportunity to truly hold their electives to account. I want to be a fresh voice for Liverpool City Region, championing what we can achieve by harnessing the wonderfully talented, creative energy that exists in our region. I will:

  • Secure investment and jobs for the future, delivering for our next generation and offering new opportunities across our city region.
  • Lobby to make the region an Urban National park, to protect our green spaces whilst enhancing what we already have.
  • Make our transport more coherent and user friendly but also provide more opportunities to use other modes of transport.

Together we can make our fabulous region even better. Vote Jade Marsden on the 6th May.

Bob Teesdale

Candidate for Merseyside Police and Crime Commissioner

My name is Bob Teesdale and I’m the Conservative Candidate for that vital role of holding the Police to account on yourbehalf. To ensure that the almost £400M budget is wisely andproperly spent. I will do that by connecting with the community and ensuring that:

  • The extra officers gained by the Force from the 20,000 being funded by this Government are spread evenly across the City and the 4 other Boroughs.
  • Community groups who work to benefit us in so many ways are properly supported, widening the victim support scheme to bring victims of serious traffic offences within its scope.
  • We expand and properly utilise the willingness of our community to help directly by expanding and properly using the Special Constabulary.

My priority will always be to work to make Merseyside safer. Vote Bob Teesdale on the 6th May.

Katie Burgess

Conservative Candidate for City of Liverpool Mayor

I am so honoured to have been selected to stand to be your City Mayor, to serve the people of my home town and represent the Conservative Party. Using my personal and professional experience I will lead the Covid recovery, negotiate the best deal for the people and give them a city to be proud of. I will:

  • Create more secure, sustainable jobs with skilled workers
  • Freeze Council Tax with better quality and value services
  • Tackle and reduce crime for good
  • Create high quality, affordable housing
  • Preserve our green spaces, culture and history
  • Give a post-Covid kick-start to the local economy

Vote for a leader you can trust. Vote Katie Burgess on the 6th May.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Local Conservatives are ready to put our plans into action but need your support to do so.

Let’s make sure Liverpoool recovers from this pandemic stronger than ever. Use your postal vote for the Conservatives.

Yours sincerely,

The Liverpool Conservatives Team
