When growing up, I have always been attracted by fairness and equality. Perhaps it is one of the reasons why I became a lawyer to defend the rights of people. I, like you - believe that everyone can achieve given the right support regardless of who you are.
This is why I will make it my mission to improve our schools and create more opportunities for our next generation so they can unlock their potential and flourish in an ever more competitive world.
As someone with proud family links to the region, I know that our country’s economic recovery is not complete until we all feel it in Liverpool. I will use my international and business experience to champion day in and out to create jobs and attract investments here so that Liverpool truly recognises the hard working families in one of the greatest cities in the world.
For these reasons, I am pleased to announce my three key priorities for Liverpool Riverside:
Education. I believe that a strong foundation in our children’s education is very important and will work to secure more funding to meet demand for school places and deliver further investment.
Securing jobs for young people. I am passionate in ensuring that our young people have sustainable jobs for them here so that they remain in our area. If elected, I will seek to create the largest jobs fair in the city.
Delivering Britain’s long-term economic plan. The UK is the fastest growing economy in the G7 – but I won’t rest – I will make it my priority to attract businesses, investments and deliver better infrastructure to Liverpool so that we all benefit from the opportunities.
