Running for Alder Hey

Part of my role as a Conservative parliamentary candidate is to set out my vision for Liverpool West Derby, campaigning on the issues that matter to you.  However, the high profile nature of a campaign affords certain opportunities – a chance to support local charities and give something back.

There are few worthier causes than the great work done by the Alder Hey Children’s charity.  That’s why I’m running the Liverpool half marathon, fundraising on their behalf.   Based in Liverpool West Derby, they do fantastic work, providing life-saving equipment and research to support patients and their families.  They've set themselves the ambitious target of raising £30m and I’m delighted that I can contribute towards this.

The NHS is one of my political priorities and running is one of my hobbies.  I’m glad I can combine the two, supporting a fantastic charity in the process.
