Bob Teesdale is standing to be the next Police and Crime Commissioner for Merseyside. His 3 point plan for policing in our region is:
An even distribution of resources across Merseyside
Some areas in Merseyside have been ignored for too long. The government is recruiting 220 new police officers. And I’ll get them on the beat across our region - not just in Liverpool City Centre.
Action on low level crime
Anti-social behaviour and low-level crime needs to be taken seriously. It impacts our lives and can cause real danger. I’ll work with community groups and on the beat officers to make sure we’re clamping down on these crimes.
I will encourage and support the proper targeted use of Stop and search.
Together we can drastically reduce the incidence of violence especially knife crime.
